Brahman as Shakti in the Bhavanopanishad

The Bhavanopanishad, a minor Upanishad from the Shakta tradition, provides an esoteric understanding of the Divine Mother, Shakti, as the active principle of Brahman, the Ultimate Reality. According to this Upanishad, Brahman is not just the inert, formless Absolute, but also contains within itself Shakti, the dynamic force responsible for creation, sustenance, and dissolution of the universe.
