Brihadaranyaka Aranyaka forms a part of Satapatha Brahmana in both the recensions – Madhyandina and Kanva – of Shukla Yajur Veda. In Madhyandina recension it consists of six adhyayas, including its famous Upanishads, which is known as Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. Traditionally, the Aranyaka begins with the fourth adhyaya. Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, in its first adhyaya, also includes Satapatha
